The Audio-Technica ATH-W1000X replaces the aging ATH-W1000 headphone, and is based on the ATH-A1000. Like it's predecessor it offers extreme comfort with the 3D wing support system, making the headohone almost 'float' on your head. Thanks to its wooden housing and 53mm driver units, the ATH-W1000X offers superb sound with great detail and clarity. With a 5Hz to 42kHz bandwidth and a low 42Ω impedance, they not only offer a broad tonal pallette, but are also easy to drive.
Pricing should be a little above the ATH-A1000 when it lands here towards the end of the year, expect an RRP of $900.
